Daily Wanderlust: Brasov’s Town Square

Located in Transylvania, Brasov, Romania is a small city (and one of the most visited in the country). Here, people can explore the nearby mountains and local Dracula lore, rent cars and go on day trips, even wander the narrowest street in Europe, measuring a whopping four feet across.

My favorite thing to do while visiting Brasov was head to the Town Hall Square to simply look around. The square features some magnificent examples of color baroque architecture, and historic landmakrs like the Black Church, the largest gothic church in Romania.

  1. Such a cool shot. I wanted to travel Romania so much more. I only visited Bucharest but loved it there. The country has so much mystery. It be good to do the month of October just wandering around!

  2. One of my favorite cities in the world! I like the diversity of people in the region. While I was walking through the back streets of Brasov, I found a Jewish temple and a huge congregation feasting on something that smelled delicious. Then there were the food dishes — polenta with fresh goat’s cheese. Your post brings back fond memories. 🙂

  3. Looks like a great place to just wander around or watch the world go by. I find people watching is always best enjoyed with colourful buildings serving as a backdrop lol
